The Curtin Uni Security Project
I've been studying Curtin University's CCTV systems and security responses for some six weeks now and I've come to the conclusion... it's a bit of a joke! Or at least... it surely must still be in the development phase. Kudos to them for installing "a surveillance system so smart it's off the scale." In other words, using algorithms developed to specifically identify abnormal human behaviour, alerting the operator to view and respond. I must have been doing something right because I've managed to breach their security some nine times, including accessing areas of their site inaccessible to members of the public. I've also been monitoring their physical staffing presence. Sure they may have a higher amount of employees confined to restricted areas like their facilities that I'm not aware of but from what I've seen - during various times throughout the 24 hours period - it appears to be rather limited. It would serve no purpose to share the detailed information I've been collecting and documenting but perhaps the security systems and responses employed by Curtin University are for the purposes of minor offending and misbehaviour rather than anything serious.
