The Dean Street Apartments in Claremont is a St Louis Estate development containing 16 luxury independent living units over four levels, with a shared rooftop terrace and wellness centre. The $11,270,000 construction site is progressing well and although it's hard to find any estimated completion date, perhaps it's expected to be during the first quarter of 2022.

I remember when I first started climbing cranes, I was deadset keen on following all the rules. Just like urbexing, it was like an unofficial set of rules. Things like one person on a ladder at one time, don’t climb on the outside, don’t hang, don’t bring a bag or carry anything hanging from your pockets, don’t climb when it’s wet or windy.
Tonight was pretty windy. It’s got to a point where I just feel so safe. I know what my limit is and I certainly feel like I’m in control when I climb. It’s not to say I feel invincible. Anything could happen at any time but I see it as very unlikely.
Even with such a strong gale at times. The crane slightly shook at times, more so the boom I suppose. I didn’t mind. I kept my grip on two different surfaces as much as I could, I walked on the mesh where it was reinforced with big steel bars underneath and I took it slow. Not once did I feel like I was placing myself in danger.
I didn’t stay too long because it was a bit cold. Possibly as low as 8 degrees. Nasty shit! Hurry up summer!!!
It was the second time climbing this Claremont crane. I think my photos will turn out better than last time, especially with a nice bit of cloud cover which always gives off more light in my photos. Other than that, this crane didn’t stand out too much. Aside from just an average crane, it was still rather pleasant, especially as it was well maintained with very little squeaking noises from the ladders when climbing.
And despite the forecasted thunderstorms and up to 3mm rain, the weather was actually quite good and the storm thankfully held off.
